Design in Mental Health Network (DiMHN), in partnership with Step Exhibitions, is proud to deliver Design for Healthcare Environments Ireland (DHEI), a new conference and exhibition dedicated to improving mental health, intellectual disability (ID), and autism environments through thoughtful, co-produced, and evidence-informed design.

Taking place at the RDS in Dublin on 29-30 September 2026. It will provide practical solutions, innovative approaches, evidence-informed design, and co-produced strategies to support care environments to be safer and more therapeutic.

The Designing for Healthcare Environments Ireland is delivered in partnership with Step Exhibitions Ltd, a private, for-profit events company contracted to manage the operational and commercial aspects of the event.
DiMHN receives a portion of the event’s net surplus to support its charitable activities. The exact income received is reported in DiMHN’s Annual Report.
