Biography
Paul is an academic and consultant with over 35 years experience in building design and performance. He is the Head of Architecture at University College Dublin (UCD) and co-director of the new UCD PRISM – Centre for Neurodiversity Research and Inclusion. His extensive career encompasses professional & specialist consultancy and academia, providing a unique breadth of expertise. Paul’s current research considers the intersection between the indoor environment, health, and inclusive building design. His research considers how design influences individual sensory sensitivities and experiences, particularly in relation to neurodivergent individuals, supporting the creation of healthier and more inclusive indoor living, learning, and working environments that address the diverse physiological and psychological needs of all occupants.
