Biography

Lorraine is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with over 25 years of experience in adult acute inpatient psychiatric services across the Mid-West. She is a dedicated advocate for excellence in mental healthcare, committed to leading on the delivery of safe, person-centred, recovery-oriented services that uphold the principles of human rights-based, trauma-informed, and least restrictive approaches within service delivery.
She has worked in collaboration with colleagues across the various disciplines to ensure the application and embedding of the National Guideline on the implementation and use of the National ligature reduction Audit Tool for Approved Centres. A values-driven leader who inspires and supports teams to achieve excellence in care, promotes a culture of learning and professional development, and remains committed to advancing mental health services through strategic leadership, evidence-based practice, and a steadfast commitment to person-centred care.
