Biography
| Shane Kirwan, MSc, BSc, – Nurse Practice Development Coordinator at St Patrick’s Mental Health Services. A psychiatric nurse since 2002 with experience in Ireland, England, and Australia. I am a clinical leader, researcher, and educator dedicated to patient-centered care and digital health innovation.He holds Master’s degrees in Healthcare Management (RCSI) and Nursing (Trinity College Dublin). As a Clinical Research Nurse with the Trinity Centre for Practice and Healthcare Innovation, his work focuses on nurse leadership in digital change. He has spearheaded initiatives like virtual inpatient wards, electronic health records, and homecare service expansion. An Adjunct Teaching Fellow at TCD and UCD School of Medicine. Committed to reducing stigma, I co-created the Irish Healthcare Award-shortlisted podcast “Mental Health Conversations: The Nursing Series.” |
